More about the Tenants & Residents Association

Its Our Neighbourhood.

.The Sea Road Area (South) Tenants and Residents Association is once more looking forward to the summer months when their hanging baskets and flower tubs will brighten up the local area.

Last year the Association were recognised in the Beautiful Scotland, “Its Your Neighbourhood”, awards and the association has registered again this year.

A walk round the neighbourhood identified some further areas of improvement that could be undertaken.

The following picture shows the state of flower tubs in Turner Crescent, originally planted some years ago by Fife Council, but now in need of some serious replanting.

Help was at hand from two young residents, Brooke and Aiden, who were happy to get their hands dirty planting some new flowers.

The plants for all five tubs cost less than £20. A little effort and maintenance by the community (young and old) can make a big difference, as the final photo of Brooke with a completed tub shows.”

Association Treasurer, Bill Campbell, who is also a community volunteer in TAPIL (Take a Pride in Levenmouth) said “With all the financial cut backs facing us it is important that communities try to help by taking a pride in their neighbourhood. Today’s teenagers are tomorrow’s parents and they need to think about the kind of environment they want for their children. They are the generation that can make a difference to what Levenmouth becomes. There are other groups in Levenmouth that do similar projects and I would encourage more people to take up the challenge.”
